Nicole Kidman and Sam Neill star in this psychological thriller set on the open seas, directed by Phillip Noyce. When husband and wife John and Rae Ingram (Neill, Kidman) set off on a yachting trip after the accidental death of their infant son, they come upon a castaway (Billy Zane from Titanic) from a disabled schooner. When the castaway's story doesn't quite add up, John investigates the schooner and discovers a dark secret. But while he's gone, the castaway has already commandeered the yacht and taken his wife hostage. The tense script by Terry Hayes (Payback, Vertical Limit) is based on a popular novel by Charles Williams.

An atmospheric adaptation of Henry James's horror novella "The Turn Of The Screw." A callow young governess (Kerr) is hired at a country estate, and soon begins to see the ghosts of a man and woman; at the same time, she also begins to suspect her two young charges are evil. Excellent, Gothic-style, psychological horror classic.
