A gang of thieves (led by Omar Epps) accidentally unleashes Dracula, the King of the Bloodsuckers (Gerard Butler), upon New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Although this film is designed to look partly like a music video and partly like a martial arts movie, Patrick Lussier's film does honor many of the central conventions of Dracula films. Christopher Plummer and Justine Waddell play descendents of the original vampire slayer, Dr. Van Helsing, although it is Van Helsing's young apprentice (Jonny Lee Miller) doing most of the stalking and staking.
