Marlena continues her vigil at John's bedside. Marlena has a dream that John's trying to communicate with her but can't get through to her. Roman tries to comfort Marlena, but she's devastated when she learns that EJ escaped to Mexico. Dr. Tucker arrives with the second set of test results which are the same as the first. Marlena dismisses the findings, clinging to her belief in miracles. Roman convinces Marlena to go home and get some rest. John manages to whisper Marlena's name after she leaves. Shawn tells Belle that a strange man was taking pictures of Claire. Belle realizes that Victor's planning on taking Claire away from them. Beverly from Child Services arrives with a cop, and gives Shawn and Belle a court order to take Claire. Shawn and Belle barricade themselves inside the hospital chapel. Steve and Kayla arrive and eventually convince them to cooperate. Belle turns Claire to Beverly and breaks down crying in Shawn's arms. Bonnie tells Billie that she and Chelsea have to move, because she needs to make room for Connor. Mimi and Max are about to make love again when Abby interrupts them. Max asks Abby why she's so angry, but she won't say, not wanting to reveal she's in love with him. Max gives Abby her Christmas gift, but she's livid when she reads the card he wrote, saying he thinks of her as a "little sister." Abby tells Max that she's a woman, and storms out. Mimi learns that Connor went missing on his way home, and thinks he took the money Bonnie sent him and split. Bonnie gets a phone call from the police telling her that Connor's been arrested.

Whitney apologizes to Chad for not trusting him. Ivy's pleased when Miguel interrupts the wedding ceremony to announce Kay can't marry Fox. Miguel tells everyone that Fox is not dying. Jared asks Theresa to marry him. Ethan interrupts, claiming Jared is a murderer. Ethan says that Jared's name was found among J.T. Cornell's belongings. Jared realizes Theresa has doubts about him, and says he plans to leave Harmony for good. Fancy is attacked again. Luis and Sheridan slip out to check on Fancy during the wedding commotion. Sheridan confesses to Eve that she doesn't know why she is doing mean things to keep Luis and Fancy apart.
