Sami learns that EJ shot John after getting Lucas to the hospital. Sami lies to Roman, not telling him that she helped EJ escape. Steve has a profound reaction to the tarot card of the devil Benjy gave him, but he downplays in front of Kayla. Kayla wants Steve to have a physical to determine if something's wrong. Sami finds Marlena in the hospital chapel. Marlena's upset with John for lying to her and putting his life in danger. Sami tries to comfort Marlena. Abe reassures Lexie that Roman was just doing his job when he interrogated her about what she witnessed at the boathouse. Abe thinks Lexie's afraid that Stefano will get revenge on her if she testifies against EJ. Lexie asks Abe about his visit with the eye doctor. Abe tells Lexie that he's losing his vision and worries about Lexie having to take care of him. Chelsea asks Maggie for a waitress job at Chez Rouge, in order t make herself look better to her Internet crush. Maggie hires her on a trial basis. Nick tells Abby that he's going to tell Chelsea that he's "Lonely Splicer." Nick goes to the Lockhart home, where Billie's drowning her sorrows in red wine after reading Steve's "Dear John" letter. Nick tries to comfort Billie, and the two commiserate about finding someone to love. Things heat up, and Nick and Billie begin to make love.

Billie and Nick make love. Sami continues her ruse. Lexie's forced to lie to Abe.

Fancy's livid over Sheridan's suggestion that she stay away from Luis. Sheridan is pleased with herself, thinking she's convinced Fancy to stop dating Luis. Sheridan fantasizes that Chris is Luis as the two celebrate the New Year. Theresa starts to wonder how well she really knows Jared, as she and Whitney discuss Chad's infidelity. Chad and Jared size each other up, each wondering if the other murdered J.T. Cornell. Chad goes to see Whitney, against Jared's advice, but she doesn't want to see him. Fox takes Kay for a romantic getaway. Kay swoons when Fox gives her a beautiful wedding dress. Miguel goes to Tabitha's, looking for Kay, and tells Tabitha about Fox's "illness." Tabitha wants to tell him everything, but Endora thwarts her efforts.

Sam has a rude awakening. Miguel plans to expose Kay. Gwen's fed up.
