Belle worries that Claire has been kidnapped. A man busts into the diner with a gun drawn, and Bo wrestles him to the floor, but he's not the kidnapper. Claire's with a mysterious red-haired woman. Shawn lashes out at Belle for letting this happen. Sami arrives and defends Belle. Bo and Hope go to confront EJ, who claims total innocence. The redhead brings Claire back to the diner, claiming Claire got into the back of her car. Victor goes home, and the redhead shows up. Victor pays her off and warns her to get out of town. Victor tells Philip that this was his first step in getting Claire away from Belle and Shawn. Kate wants to know the real reason EJ made Sami a full partner. EJ admits to Kate that he wants Sami to have his baby. Sami and Lucas almost make love, but Sami takes off when she she gets a call about Claire. Kate tells Lucas that EJ wants Sami to have his baby. Lucas tells Sami the news when she returns, but she assures Lucas that it's a joke. Sami tells Lucas he's the only one she's interested in, but Lucas isn't in the mood to make love right now. In Italy, John brings Marlena to a beautiful fountain, and as he tosses a coin, Marlena makes a wish that they will always be honest with each other. As romantic music plays, John tells Marlena he wants to marry her right here and now. As John and Marlena kiss, a sinister stranger looks on ominously.

Luis and Fancy are about to make love when Sam arrives at their room, demanding they let him in. Ethan shows Theresa the Crane Industries records on Jared's laptop, revealing that the company's pension fund has disappeared. Theresa insists that she trusts Jared, and orders Ethan to leave them alone.
