Bo and Hope wake up in each other's arms, having spent a romantic night on the boat. Hope wants to go to Patrick's hearing. Bo urges her to stay with him, but Hope wants to take things slow. Mimi visits Patrick, and tells him about her break-up with Shawn. Patrick confides with his attorney, Cameron Reese. Bo arrives to testify and sees Hope, who explains that she had to come, if not for Patrick, then for the baby she's carrying. Bonnie and Hope stop Bo and Patrick from coming to blows. Mimi tells Bo and Hope that Shawn has left her. EJ brags to a reporter about what a great driver Stephanie Johnson is. Kate also thinks Stephanie can beat Max Brady. Max and Stephanie grow closer. Shawn tells them to cool it and Max asks if Shawn's okay. Shawn admits he's stressed about Mimi, and Belle's scare with their unborn child. Kate asks Stephanie to befriend a heartsick Philip. Shawn learns from his pit captain that Belle never left the hospital and that the baby could be in jeopardy.

Belle's prognosis is grim. Things spin out of control for Max. Tek warns Lexie about Abe.

Kay agrees to Fox's choice of a wedding cake, but Miguel mentions that Kay has hated that flavor since childhood. Fox fumes over being reminded about Miguel and Kay's history. Chad consoles Valerie after Theresa blasts her for delivering the wrong envelope to Ethan. Jared catches Chad and Valerie in an embrace. Ethan and Gwen help celebrate Sheridan's adoption of James. Ethan asks Chris to help him figure out what Theresa would put him in charge of Crane Industries if she dies. Whitney urges Theresa to tell Ethan he is Little Ethan's father before he realizes it on his own. Theresa refuses, determined to keep it a secret from everyone, including Jared. Theresa gets a strange sense that she should get her affairs in order in case something happens to her.
