DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Shawn beats up Charlie the bum after he insults Belle. Belle and Gabby intervene. Gabby is upset that Shawn didn't let her handle Charlie. Belle, angry with Shawn, takes Claire upstairs. Shawn blasts Gabby for telling Charlie that he and Belle aren't married. Duck reports that Charlie complained to the cops, and the sheriff is on his way over. Shawn starts packing and tells Belle they have to leave right away. Belle refuses to run again just because he was trying to impress Gabby, and Shawn explains that he went after Charlie for insulting her, not Gabby. The sheriff arrives, and Gabby goes upstairs to get Shawn. Duck and the sheriff are at the door before Gabby can help them escape. The sheriff questions Shawn, who explains that Charlie got out of line, and Gabby backs him up. Shawn lies when the sheriff asks to see their passports, saying they don't have any. Belle comes down as Shawn explains that they left the states in a hurry to save their baby, on his father's boat. Duck searches their room, and brings the phony passports to the sheriff. Shawn tries to explain, but Gabby convinces the sheriff that Shawn and Belle are good people. The sheriff keeps the passports and tells Shawn and Belle not to leave the island. Belle takes Claire up to bed, and Shawn apologizes for getting angry at Gabby. Gabby hugs Shawn. Duck warns Belle that Gabby is going to steal Shawn. Steve is back in the state hospital, complaining to Dr. Ella Kraft about the meds they're giving him. Ella warns him that if he doesn't cooperate, she'll have to tell the judge. Ella tells Steve that if he takes the meds, he can join the other patients in the common room. Steve pretends to take the pills. Steve eats lunch with Ella in the common room, but doesn't like the food and gives it to another patient. Foley, a rough orderly, takes the food from the other patient, and when Steve tries to explain, Foley dumps it on the floor and tells Steve to clean it up. Steve refuses, and they face-off. Kayla tells Max she's planning to go to Italy to find proof that EJ is behind Steve's behavior. Max warns her not to tangle with the DiMeras herself. Kayla says Bo and Roman can't do anything about it, but she wants Max to go with her for support. Max agrees, but wants to stop in Paris on the way back to see Abby. Kayla makes Max promise not to tell anyone about their plans.

Fox insists to Julian that he is getting the real medicine, causing him to be sick. Julian suggests he drop it, warning him not to let Kay overhear him complaining. Miguel convinces Kay to join him for a romantic dinner on the hospital rooftop, where he promises that he's committed to her and Maria. Fancy opens the door to Luis' jail cell and urges him to escape and prove he's innocent. Luis tells Fancy that she could lose her job, and refuses to leave. Chad tells Jared he will never see his lover again. Chad becomes uneasy when Vincent shows up to cover Theresa's wedding for his tabloid. Ethan begs Theresa to stop the wedding upon seeing her wearing the dress she was supposed to wear at their wedding. Ethan thinks he may be able to trace the blackmailer's phone calls and discover his identity, raising Theresa's hopes. Whitney tells Ethan about Rae's envelope. Jared's worried that Theresa will change her mind and marry Ethan. Jared overhears Theresa say she wants to postpone their wedding, and asks why.
