Rico busts into John and Marlena's hotel room, intent on killing them. John overpowers Rico, and finds out Stefano's whereabouts. Marlena insists that she join John in tracking down Stefano. John grudgingly agrees, and gives her a hand gun in case of trouble. Shawn and Belle tell Victor that he can have no more visits with Claire until Shawn bonds with her. Victor blasts them and warns Shawn that he'll regret this. Max and Mimi stun Kate with what they've learned about Philip's disappearance. Max and Mimi think Victor has Philip stashed away somewhere. Kate sneaks into the Kiriakis mansion, about to enter the "mystery room." Victor arrives, but makes no attempt to stop Kate. Kate is shocked to see Philip, seriously wounded and bandaged in a wheelchair. Max and Mimi discuss Mimi's broken marriage to Shawn, and the sexual tension rises between them. Mimi's phone rings, right as they're about to kiss. Steve and Kayla reconnect after Steve's memories return. Steve admits there are still some years he can't remember, and Kayla says they'll deal with it together. Steve and Kayla discuss Steve's relationship with Billie. Steve says Billie's a wonderful woman, but nothing he felt for her comes close to what he feels for his "sweetness."

Ethan roughs up J.T., demanding to know if Phyllis really leaked his paternity information. Ethan hears something in the bathroom, causing Rebecca to make a clumsy escape before she's discovered. Jared and Theresa grow closer as they teach Little Ethan how to ice-skate. Chad is upset that Whitney still doesn't trust him. Chad gives Whitney an ultimatum: marry him by Christmas or they're through. Luis and Fancy spot Sheridan sobbing in Gwen's arms. Luis stops himself from going to comfort Sheridan. Gwen tells Sheridan to get counseling from Dr. Russell. Eve receives a blackmail letter.
