Scares and laughs share top billing in this satiric ghost story that finds a successful novelist facing his personal demons in a house with an equally troubled past. Following the disappearance of his son, Roger Cobb (William Katt) moves into the house where the boy was last seen alive--and where his aunt recently killed herself--to write his memoirs of the Vietnam War. Instead, Roger literally begins to see the skeletons in his closets and, with help from his annoying neighbor (George Wendt), determines that the evil forces he must confront are also keeping his son a prisoner in another dimension.
