DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Kayla tells Marlena that Steve's left her, afraid that he'll hurt her. Marlena sees the bruises on Kayla's neck and tells Kayla just what the DiMera programming can do to people. Marlena says their only option is to have Steve committed against his will, but Kayla doesn't want to do it. Steve, as per EJ's orders, breaks into John's room and unhooks him from the monitors. Steve clears the hallway by setting off a fire alarm, and sneaks John out of the hospital. Marlena gets word that John's gone before she and Kayla are able to have Steve committed. Philip orders Officer Stratton to drop anchor and search the ocean for Shawn and Belle. Philip attacks Willow for helping them escape. Officer Stratton tells Philip that they found a life raft, but it's been slashed, and there's blood on it. Philip thinks the whole thing is a ruse, but has to wait for the blood results. Willow tells Philip that he'll soon see that her baby is the key to getting back at Shawn. Shawn and Belle land on a deserted island, but Belle has lost Claire in the riptide. Belle and Shawn search the island, and discover Claire, who's safe and sound, but has cut her hands on the rope, causing the blood. Shawn and Belle realize that the island is their home. Nick follows Chelsea and Dr. Rebert on their date. Nick sabotages the date by having Maggie bust Chelsea for underage drinking. Chelsea tells Nick off for ruining her date. Maggie convinces Nick to follow Chelsea. Chelsea's in over her head when Dr. Rebert makes a pass at her in the car.

Chad's relieved, thinking he's in the clear now that he's ended his affair. Chad's unaware that his male lover has a video of the two of them having sex. Chad and Whitney argue about Chad's homophobic attitude. Fancy's validated when Chris confirms that Sheridan isn't home. Fancy reiterates that she believes Sheridan attacked her outside the hospital. Sheridan drives home with scratches on her arm. Sheridan comes home and explains that she went to get cough medicine for James. Fancy tells Sheridan how she was attacked by a woman, but she fought her off and left scratch marks. Sheridan is incensed when Fancy accuses her of being the attacker. Ethan figures out that Jared was shot when he was trying to get Theresa out of a jam. Ethan urges Theresa to confide in him, but Theresa fears she'd be risking his life as well. Theresa comforts Jared, who tells her he's certain he was shot by a woman.

Fox begs Julian for help. Fancy keeps Luis at arms' length. Sheridan and Chris have it out.
