DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Stephanie gets worried when Kayla gets a suspicious page while visiting her at the hospital, and tries to convince Kayla not to check on it. Steve drops by to see Billie, and tries to explain to Chelsea his feelings for her mom. Billie and Steve are furious when Chelsea tells Steve that Billie used to be a hooker. Stephanie calls Steve, saying she's worried about Kayla, and he takes off. The gloved hand stalks Kayla, and she gets trapped in an exam room. An eerie voice calls out her name through an air vent. Kayla freaks out, but Steve comes to the rescue, breaking down the door. Steve and Kayla go to investigate the air vent when some lethal-looking smoke explodes from the vent, suffocating Kayla and Steve. John proposes to Marlena. John waits for her answer, but she has a proposal of her own. Austin and Carrie discuss moving to Zurich to start their new life together. Carrie says she'll go on one condition: she wants to get married first, and the two head off to get married right away. At the home of the Justice of the Peace, Carrie and Austin have to wait because another couple is ahead of them. They're shocked when they see that it's John and Marlena. Carrie and the hospital administrator confront Lexie. Lexie is officially accused of medical malpractice and is fired immediately. Lexie tells Abe the news, fearing the worst, and is stunned when he tells her he'll stand by her.

Steve and Kayla's lives hang in the balance. Sami and Carrie face off. Carrie and Austin leave Salem.

Fox is furious when he overhears Pilar tell Kay not to marry him. Fox calls Pilar a busybody, leading to a fistfight between him and Miguel. Ivy is overjoyed when she learns that Pilar is advising Kay, until Pilar suggests that Ivy doesn't want Fox to marry beneath him. When Ivy's dress is stained with blood, Eve says it's a sign that she and Sam aren't meant to be married. Chad calls in to work late in order to spend the morning with Whitney. Ethan grills Theresa about who she meeting with in the dark alley. Theresa covers and says she was protecting her son's interests when Ethan reminds her that she missed a custody hearing to meet her mystery man. Gwen and Rebecca think J.T. knows why Theresa was a no show when they hear that her custody hearing was canceled. Gwen and Rebecca are unable to track down J.T., so they visit Whitney and Pilar, respectively, hoping to trick Theresa's secret out of them.

Luis investigates the murder. Whitney catches on to Gwen's tricks. Rebecca tries to get the goods on Theresa.
