Learn more... PAT: There's something to this homeschooling thing. I'm going to look into it. GLENN: There really -- PAT: I'm going to look into it. GLENN: I think you've already done that. You just keep having children and pumping them full of nonsense at school like, "Oh, George Washington was good." Hate that. Then I get this. A girl comes up to me in line and she hands this letter to me: Dear Mr. Beck, my name is Rachel. I'm from a small town near Cleveland. I'm 15 1/2 years old. You know somebody is young when they actually include the half year. PAT: Mmm-hmmm. GLENN: I'm 15 1/2 years old. I didn't think that I would be able to communicate all my thoughts in the hour that you were going to be at the book signing. So I wrote you this letter. I started being an avid member of your audience when my debate coach had wrongly chastised me for listening to too much Beck and Rush. Having almost never heard of you, notwithstanding my status as a Reagan conservative, I decided to delve into the somewhat familiar sounding characters. I love this. This is exactly what happened to me when I went to college. They told me not to read something and I read it. You keep going, Rachel. She said, I started to listen to your show and what caught my attention was I agreed with almost everything you said. Being a conservative, I now consider myself a bit more libertarian. Surprisingly odd for a Freshman -- now I'm a Sophomore, but I digress -- at an all girls Catholic college preparation high school. At my school we have adopted surprisingly progressive principles: Greening of the school, teaching social justice, and on and on. I guess I turned onto your show and then started reading your books and radio as a form of self-education. At first I'll admit I did take your word for everything you said that was happening. Then you lost me when you started discussing the Weather Underground. So I began to do some independent research. I stumbled upon a website called turningthetide.org. We just got this tip from a 15-year-old that sounds really smart. We should look into it. PAT: I'll bet he costs less than Joe, too. I mean, look. (Laughing). GLENN: You know what? Call Rachel. Call Rachel. Let's get Rachel on the phone. PAT: Yeah, yeah. GLENN: We're looking for a new head of research. June came and when school was dismissed for the term, I began listening to your radio program. I heard you were holding an event in Washington, D.C. I wanted to go more than anything Eddie ever wanted, the red huffy with the black banana seat. You had better believe it was difficult to get my father -- my parents are divorced -- to take me to D.C., let alone on a school weekend. Eventually having heard enough begging for a long time, my father said yes. It was my favorite experiences with my father. I wholeheartedly thank you for all of the time and effort you and your team spent on 8/28. I can never repay you. Today was an important day. You said the revolution is now. The prince was nearly attacked -- she must have written this last week -- the prince was nearly attacked and amidst all of the catastrophic news, I received my PSAT scores. I got a 1750. I didn't take my PSAT. Is that pretty good? 1750? Nicole, PSAT, 1750? STU: She's not 11. I think she took her PSAT a few years ago. GLENN: Early -- closer than you do. STU: Well, yes. Yes, closer than I did. GLENN: If you are -- if you are correct, and God hopes that you are not, I am ready for the perfect storm. Over the past year or so I have amassed a large group of freethinking minds like you and me who have spread the truth and we are prepared. Thank God for the time that we were all born into. With firm reliance and the protection of divine providence, we pledge to each our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor. Isn't that nice? PAT: Yeah, very. Very. GLENN: 15-year-old girl. Yesterday I asked -- we played that 15-year-old kid. Remember, what was it? PAT: From London? GLENN: From London? Yeah. We were -- we played a 15-year-old kid from London and I asked yesterday, where are our 15-year-old kids that understand the republic? That are that well spoken? PAT: And there you go. Right? I mean, she's -- well, she's 15 1/2. So -- GLENN: Right. PAT: Does that qualify? GLENN: No, I -- PAT: No? STU: Where are the 15-year-old kids? PAT: That just turned 15 today? STU: Yes, today. GLENN: Today. Where are they? PAT: Where are they? GLENN: I think this is great. Listen, I want you to come to Ohio. If you're anywhere in the Ohio area, tomorrow we're in Wilmington, which is this little town, was devastated or so CBS News would have you believe and the New York Times. I think this town is finding themselves through, well, refiners fire or as our song America the Beautiful says, liberating strife. I think they are finding themselves. And amazing things are happening in this town, and we'll tell you some of them today and tomorrow. But if you're anywhere in the area, I know the weather is cold and the snow is billowing and everything else. But we sure would like to see you tomorrow. We'll be there all day in Wilmington and the stores are open and just dressed this town up and they have really gotten behind this thing. I think this is going to be an amazing day tomorrow.
