Original Air Date: Thursday, August 10, 2006Marlena returns to Salem after attending a seminar in New York. John is thrilled to see his wife, but shocked when she says she wants a separation. Marlena assures him it has nothing to do with their relationship, she simply she needs time to reclaim her own life. John understands and agrees to give Marlena her space. John and Marlena offer Belle tough love about her baby situation, citing that while she may be pregnant with Shawn's baby, the baby was not created by their love. At the garage, Abby asks Shawn for a job. As she waits to talk to Max, she has some one-on-one time with EJ and is charmed by him. Mimi stops by the garage to talk to Shawn. Mimi wants him to talk to an attorney about working out a custody arrangement. Shawn isn't so keen on this, but before they can get into it further Belle arrives. She apologizes to Mimi for her actions and tells Shawn she wants to say good-bye. EJ offers to help Carrie and Lucas rebuild their apartment. Austin wants to move up his wedding plans to Sami. She's thrilled and they tell Lucas and Carrie the good news. Carrie's taken aback and privately upset. On the next Days of our Lives:Belle and Shawn say a final goodbye. Marlena and John make love. Frankie vows to fight for Jennifer.

Siren attempts to seduce Miguel, but he tells her he has to go to work. Tabitha remembers she has a spell book that may help Kay rid them of the mermaid. Unfortunately, Siren got there first and the book is gone. Theresa fills Whitney in on the details of her budding romance with Jared. Whitney warns her friend to come clean about being Mrs. Crane before Jared finds out on his own. Little does Theresa know that the next person she will be interviewing for an open executive position is none other than Jared Casey. Fancy shows up for police training, but before she can tell Luis why she is at the station, he goes off on her for her mistake that cost him evidence from Chris' shooting. When he discovers that Fancy is one of his recruits, Luis' jaw drops. On the next Passions:Jared finds out Theresa is married. Spike reveals Chris' shady deal with Alistair. Miguel tells Kay how much he loves her.
