Incisive script by Moss Hart; great Harold Arlen-Ira Gershwin songs include spellbinding "The Man That Got Away" and the show stopping "Born in a Trunk" sequence by Leonard Gershe. Delightful Irving Berlin musical about Astaire trying to forget ex-dance partner Miller while rising to stardom with Garland. Too good to watch just at Eastertime. Musical highlights include Astaire's solo ``Steppin' Out With My Baby,'' Miller's ``Shaking the Blues Away,'' Fred and Judy's ``A Couple of Swells,'' and the Fifth Avenue finale with Berlin's title song. Oscar winner for musical scoring (Johnny Green and Roger Edens).
