GLENN BECK, HOST: Welcome to "The Glenn Beck Program." It's Wednesday.

And I don't know about you, but the problem fairy did not come to my house last night again and take away all my problems and leave me a quarter. I think that's what we as a nation are waiting for, the problem fairy. It can get pretty depressing reading and watching the news, there's only so many stories featuring yellow tape and flashing lights that a man can take or people in Washington that a man can watch.

What we're facing seems to be -- have an inevitable outcome. But it does not. But look at the news today.

"The Financial Times" is reporting we are rapidly approaching a tipping point in oil. The IEA says oil prices, quoting, "are entering a dangerous zone for the global economy."

We've talked on this program before about how important oil is in our day-to-day life. It's in everything, from plastic, to sewing machine, everything.

But it plays even a bigger role with the economy than most people will realize. Do you remember when the housing market collapsed, it wasn't because -- just because people there, you know, all of the sudden, went -- oh, I can't pay for my house and I didn't really have a job. People bought houses that were too far out of their budget. The housing market began to collapse at the beginning of 2008.

But what else was happening in the beginning of 2008 that caused people to not be able to afford their house? Oil prices. We'd just put these two together. January 2nd, 2008, oil was $99 a barrel, about where we're headed now. It would eventually hit more than $140 a barrel.

Is that a coincidence?

When oil prices go up, you can afford less. Obviously, we couldn't sustain it. Now, why would we expect it to be any different this time around? We could, again, close all of our eyes and go, like, the problem fairy is coming maybe tonight.

And that seems exactly like what Europe is doing. They just had a 2.2 percent spike in their annual inflation. But the central bank of Europe said, don't worry about it, OK? Because their inflation -- and this is a quote -- is only -- they're only experiencing inflation with higher prices of food, oil and other commodities.

Oh, that makes me feel so much better. I thought it was something, you know, that the prices are going up with something necessary for, you know, basic human survival. And that would cause a problem. Silly me. Oh, did the problem fairy show up again?

It's only a matter of time before we experience the same thing that is happening in Europe with inflation and everything else.

Today, headline from "Bloomberg": "World Food Prices Jump on Record in Sugar, Grain and Oilseeds Costs."

OK. You have known about this. You watched this program. So, now, what? Now what?

It's interesting because I find myself in -- let me get to this: imagine if you were on a plane and a stewardess announced, "Oh, ladies and gentlemen, all of the pilots ate fish for dinner and they are barfing in the cockpit like you can't believe and they're incapacitated. We're going to crash. I'll get back to you in a few minutes. Thanks for flying." OK?

I don't think: "A," the passengers would just sit there. But, "B," what about the steward or stewardess -- what role do they play? I kind of find myself the role of flight attendant, saying every few minutes, "Yes, they're still barfing in the cockpit" -- I mean, that's not helping, really.

I think that's what I would be saying to the steward. That's not helping us. What should we do about it?

That's not the role I'm going to play. I'm going to say, buckle your seat belts, prepare for crash landing, and I'll say, well, here are the exits and here's what, you know, I think we should do. But, really, it is up to the passengers. That's really who makes the difference.

Last night, I introduced a long-term solution, E4. I'll show you more about this tonight. But I'm going to show it to you in context of the news and what is happening in the news.

This year, our goal to challenge you to radically change your life, start a personal revolution in your own life. Because changing the world is just too big to bite off. Changing what you can, yourself, will change the world, and I know it to be true because you already have with the Tea Parties. E4 will get you started down that path, tied to the news now.

(MUSIC)

BECK: Hello, America.

If anybody is keeping track and believe me some people are, and that's why you never see -- why you never see this reported, our predictions on this program are pretty good, except for the dates or timing. But, you know, the general direction -- I mean, because it's not hard. I am a rodeo clown, brother, it just takes common sense to see it and you do.

I think 2011, I said that 2010 was going to be a year of miracles and I believe that happened in 2010. I think those miracles actually happened. 2011 is going to be pivotal. Things are changing. On August 28th, things changed, I think, and it was just part of the Tea Party. I mean, I think it changed.

The same thing holds true this time around. And I can't tell you how excited I am for the New Year and not because of what we are doing here. Because this was not about anyone who spoke up here -- this was all about these people. It is you.

The secret to success, it is not -- remember this -- it is not about politicians or personalities or presidents or parties. It's about people. You. You are what give people power and it is all up to you. While those people get power and then they tell you that you don't have power, they are wrong and that's why you freak them out so much.

This is going to be your year much more than last year was. Even though I think the problems are going to start to seem really crushing, we've been showing you all of the radicals operating in the cover of darkness and all of false hoods and the lies they tell. And it may seem overwhelming -- again, at least it is to me because I'm the stewardess going, yes, we're still crashing because they're still barfing -- I mean.

But it's the passengers -- it's the passengers that matter in a time like that. It is, quite honestly, Todd Beamer. Let's roll. It's the passengers that make the difference.

Last night, we showed you some words from some of these radicals and progressives and Frances Fox Piven who has called for violence in the past.

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)

FRANCES FOX PIVEN, POLITICAL SCIENCE PROFESSOR: It's when elections interact with powerful, disruptive, unruly movements from the bottom of the society through their ability to refuse to cooperate with important institutions -- by striking, for example, or by blockading the streets, or by shutting down the schools. At those moments, we have had important changes and progressive changes in America society. It now (ph) began with the American Revolution.

(END AUDIO CLIP)

BECK: OK. This is what they are doing over in Europe.

Now, this is not an isolated quote from, you know, a crazy person when she was 20. She still believes the same thing today. That was mark 2008?

But here she is recently giving the OK for violence back in June of this year. Watch this.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PIVEN: Probably, unless you have good reason for breaking window, probably you shouldn't do that.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: Listen.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PIVEN: Unless it's, you know, a big part of your strategy.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: Don't break the window, no violence. You probably shouldn't do that. Pause, pause, pause, let me clarify -- unless it's a big part of your strategy. That is important for you to hear and understand.

Your friends -- I never heard of Francis Fox Piven really until, what, a couple of years ago and people dismiss her as, you know, big deal, she's just a college professor, et cetera, et cetera.

Well, that's what the left needs you to do: dismiss. Dismiss her, dismiss them, dismiss Van Jones, all of them. Well, she's a nobody. Well, she's not. But I'll get to that in a minute.

You have a choice. You can live in a bubble and you can dismiss and dismiss and say it's not going to be a bigger problem. Or you can save the republic. I know who you are.

Last night, I laid out the focus of this program and it centers around this, E4. What is this? Well, you'll see: enlightenment, education, empowerment, entrepreneurism.

Who are you? What is the truth of our history? What power do you have and what are you going to do with it?

I'm going to be focusing everything I do in the next year on this. It's multilayered. Quite honestly, I believe it is the solution to what we're facing, because the solution -- this whole thing is about you. It is about the individual, and I don't mean like when I say, you know, it's about the individual. I don't mean, you know, some mythical Republican or Democratic candidate in 2012. I mean you -- you sitting right there watching this program. You're the answer.

Are you the person that you're meant to be? Or are you the person that you've kind of just allowed yourself to become? All of our problems seem so huge. They are global in nature. I mean, how do you -- come on really -- fix the debt and deficit? How do you do that?

Something that keeps coming to mind is the old story. A man decided to change the world but he wasn't successful. He decided to change the country but he wasn't successful. He decided to change the community but he wasn't successful. He decided to change the street, he failed there. He decided to change his family, he failed there. So, he decided, I'm going to change myself, he was so successful.

And because he changed himself, his family changed. And they affected the street, and the people on the street affected their community and the people in the community affected their country, and the people of the country affected the world.

It may seem like you just doing what you are meant to be, meant to do

-- you are here for a reason. It may seem meaningless but it's not. Those on the left know it.

But, they -- you know the old phrase. If only you would use it for good instead of evil, what could they accomplish?

What has the leftist confused right now? You. They see how bad things are on the ground, and yet you're taking to the street peacefully like Tea Parties, but you're not rioting like they are in Europe. You should be rioting, don't you know that? They can't figure out why you're not doing this.

Well, the answer is simple: America is great because America is good. You're good. It sucks to be a revolutionary in America, doesn't it?

Van Jones is a guy that most people dismiss. And I'm telling you, even though he's left the White House, he is a major, major player. I want to give you some -- a new look at some old audio that we played on this program before.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

VAN JONES, FORMER GREEN JOBS "CZAR": So, now, your challenge as you leave here, our challenge, is to take care of that bottom-up part and that inside-out part, the hard part. That's what we need now -- top-down, bottom-up and inside-out.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: OK. There's two things that he's talking about here. This is not a random theory. This is not just Van Jones. This is a blueprint for the radical left, OK?

And actually, it is -- I mean, it is exactly, it is how the Czech Republic fell in communism in 1948. This is actually -- this is actually from 1961, the 87th Congress, how parliament can play a part in a transition to socialism, the role of popular masses. This is quite fascinating.

And here's what it is. Basically in a nutshell, revolutionaries have a solution. Revolution isn't the solution. Communism or socialism -- that is the solution. Power and concentrated power.

So, they have a solution. And then they have to put people in power to implement that solution. But you can't be out in the open, so you have to create or exploit problems. What was it that -- what's his name said -- never let a crisis go to waste?

Number four: overwhelm or collapse the financial system. You create strife.

Five: you encourage riots or you just plan them. You coordinate them. And then people cry out for a solution, which brings you here. They have the solution and the people in power to implement it. Got it?

Bottom-up, top-down, inside-out. The hard part as he said, I'll get to that one here in a second because this -- what I just show you, this is E1, this is education. Once you know this, everything changes. You start to see the world differently. That's why education must happen.

Go to GlennBeck.com and read more. All of our footnotes on this show, I'm going to share with you. You need to see it. You apply it and you see how history is repeating, and the world opens up.

But there's more to it. There is empowerment. Not enlightenment but empowerment.

Listen to Van Jones again.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

JONES: There's a sense that we're not healed from some historical problems. We've been trained not to have power. We've been trained to protest. We've been trained to critique and be mad at NASA. We have not been trained to grab the whip and put it down and run the plantation. That's not what we've been trained to do.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

BECK: OK. What is he saying here? He's reminding people that you have the power. Once you have realized and as he says, the hard part -- once you realize and you change your heart. Wait a minute, I have the power, I have the power. Then you rise up and he says, grab the whip, change your heart -- inside-out. Change yourself from the inside out. That's empowerment, E3.

Van Jones is trying to change people from the inside-out and it's a good goal to get them to stop living a life of theory and put it into action. Rise up. You're powerful.

It's good -- unless, you're one of the founding members of the communist revolutionary group STORM, like Van Jones is, and because then rise up is start a revolution that you so desperately want. That kind of doesn't -- that's not the same as here.

It's almost like -- may I? It's like the "Star Wars" movies. This is the force. It can be used for good or it can be used for the dark side.

If you remember in "Star Wars," they started to assemble the Death Star. What have you told you? They are putting together a system and you're not going to like it when they turn it on. The Death Star.

They have all of the players and what do all of those players do? It's all about power and control, and they have to trick or force people into it. Anger, hatred, rage -- it leads to the dark side. However, they will tell you the opposite -- feel your anger, feel your rage.

I'm sorry, I'm confused, I am not sure if that's the emperor of the dark side or Frances Fox Piven. Here's what she said just in an article last month in The Nation. Quote, "Before people can mobilize for collective action, they have to develop a proud and angry identity." Feel your anger. That's what Darth Vader was saying and the emperor.

I'm telling you, that that leads to the dark side. Feel your anger and feel your rage -- no, no. Let me tell what Yoda said to Luke -- that leads to the dark side.

So, now, who is Frances Fox Piven? Because you have to understand, because they'll tell you to dismiss. Don't, don't.

But to understand Frances Fox Piven, you have to go back to the 1960s. There were riots in the streets in 1960s. I was born in 1964. Francis Fox Piven was a professor in Columbia University at this time.

Let's start with the '68 Chicago DNC riots. By the way, did you know in 1968 the riots in Chicago, that was 8.28? Ain't that interesting? Did they know that was Martin Luther King's speech day?

Anyway, it was organized by the National Mobilization Committee to end the war and Vietnam's involvement, an umbrella organization for SDS. Then, 1968, Columbia uprising, also SDS. Another one, days of rage.

Who is behind those? I told you on the program, it was SDS, the leader of SDS at the time or co-founder of SDS is also now running the charitable arm of Open Society of George Soros. But forget about him, he is a kind old man.

The Weather Underground also were there. And they were helping with the Watts Riots in Los Angeles.

Now, in classrooms, they'll teach our kids about the Watts Riots just being a reaction to police brutality. That's it. And education -- E2, education. But this education was given by William Ayers who was part of the Weather Underground. They have co-opted our education and taken it over. They rely on you allowing them to feed you and our children the information.

One thing Ayers will never teach you is about what the Watts Riots served as inspiration for. I found this out the other night and I find this amazing.

The Watts Riots served as an inspiration for the Cloward and Piven strategy. That was it. That's -- they saw that and they went -- oh, my gosh. I have the answer.

Violent riot inspired them to help create more riots and feel your anger and let the hatred flow. Most people would have seen this and say, wow, we got to make sure that doesn't happen again. But not France Fox Piven. This was an epiphany for her.

The solution on how to finally collapse the system caused people to riot and bring in her Marxist government solution. That's pretty damn evil. I must be wrong.

No, surprisingly, I am not. Don't take my word for it. Do your own homework on Frances Fox Piven, E2, education.

You need to know who she is, however, and what is coming next. We will expose that when we come back.
