As A Mom... A Sisterhood of Mommy Patriots A message to all members of As A Mom... Several months ago I wrote a blog "Voting In or Voting Out?" which outlined several of my thoughts as far as voter education.  The primaries are now over and it is time to go for the final round.  From your answers to our current survey, we know that many of you voted in primaries for the first time. Way to go Moms!  The problem is that many of our friends and neighbors are not prepared or not registered to vote.  So we have a few ideas and challenges for all of us as we near the elections. Make sure you are registered http://www.register-vote.com/ Contact at least five (5) friends and make sure they are registered as well. Continue to educate others. See if you can help with local Abigail Adams Project distributing voter guides. http://www.abigailadamsproject.org/  If you live in an area where these are not available check with other local groups for guides. Poll watching and Poll judging.  You can sign up with your county or state to be a poll worker. Do a Google search on "election poll worker" and your state or county to find local information. When trying to promote your candidate, many of you have been dismayed to learn that AAM has applied for 501c4 status. This means we are primarily educational and we do not endorse specific candidates. We do encourage you to be involved with the candidate of your choice.  For those of you who want something more political...
