Glenn Beck: The Rosie O'Donnell BP solution June 9, 2010 - 15:47 ET GLENN: Let's start with the audio of Rosie O'Donnell who is the first to make my prediction come true that they would just start to announce that it doesn't matter, communist, Marxist. Remember when I said that? I think it was Stu that said, Glenn, that's crazy, that's crazy. It's beginning to happen. You're at the very beginning of it and Rosie O'Donnell is the first sign. Here's what Rosie O'Donnell said about the BP oil spill yesterday.
O'DONNELL: Are you going to go? I don't know. But children are vulnerable to toxic chemicals in crude oil that can disrupt normal growth or development. t.
VOICE: And this is part of what BP should pay for. You know, they are saying they are going to pay for everything. That is a big line of crap.
O'DONNELL: I say seize their assets.
VOICE: Yeah.
O'DONNELL: Right now.
VOICE: Yep.
O'DONNELL: Seize their assets today, take over the country, I don't care. Issue an executive order. Say BP, guess what.
VOICE: Yeah.
O'DONNELL: Call it socialism, call it communism, call it anything you want. Let's watch Rush Limbaugh explode on TV when he talks.
PAT: He's not on TV.
GLENN: Yeah, but that's staying informed, Rosie O'Donnell. Let's seize the company. Call it Marxism or communism, whatever you want. They don't care. They are not afraid of being labeled a communist because they don't have a problem with communism.

REICH: We need to have government take BP's operations over at least until this is solved.
GLENN: Now, do you remember, this is the compromise, this is the compromise: Just do it until it's solved. But do you remember when Maxine Waters said the same thing and it was funny because she realized what she was saying: Oh, we're going to socialize... we're going to take overture —
WATERS: And guess what this liberal will be all about. This liberal will be all about socializing...
GLENN: Uh oh.
WATERS: Will be about... basically —
GLENN: Oh, boy.
WATERS: Taking over, and the government running all of your companies.
GLENN: Okay. She said that to the oil companies. And it was funny when she said it because it was so revealing on her. But you thought she was alone. The emergency is here now to do it. GLENN: That's pretty incredible. Issue an executive order. I thought we were restoring democracy. I thought we wanted the voice of the people heard. See, this is where the Marxist lie breaks down. They can get you, and as you will see on Friday's show, James Madison on Founding Friday this Friday. James Madison is the architect of the Constitution. Everything in the Constitution is to slow people down. Slow down. They were afraid of emergencies and those people in government that would use emergencies to be able to rush people in and so they wanted everything in there to slow it down because something would happen and people would make a rash decision because that's what people do. They want to do good. But if somebody would learn how to game the system, they could push them into emergencies and you're out of freedom... like that.
So everything was a speed bump. Everything we have done since 1913 was to take the speed bumps away, so there's nothing slowing these people down. Nothing. Now it's just — now, you can't even get 60%. What do you think you could get on just seize, have the president seize the assets of a company and seize a company and just take it over? I would love to see a poll on that. Maybe I'm afraid to see a poll on that. 60%, 70%, 80% against? You'd have to be at least 60% against. I would hope that it's higher, but it wouldn't be in the majority. Just take a company? Through executive order? And you make fun of me for saying that we're headed towards a fascistic state? What, are you crazy? I have to tell you, the lie of these people will be their undoing. You have truth on your side. Now, what happens — let's just play this out because now you're starting to see the things that I warned about actually being said and considered. Play this out in your head. Let's just say that we have a president that would just take a company, seize it. What happens when people rise up and say, that is not who we are. What happens? Do these people say, now let's listen to the other side, let's listen to the people. Or do they say, "Silence them!" Let me go back to Bill Maher. I think he was very clear on it. Wasn't he?

GLENN: That's incredible. The left, as I told you yesterday, starting to fall apart. Because the people like Rosie O'Donnell, the people like Sean Penn, the people that you've always known are for a Venezuelan revolution, the Van Jones, the revolutionaries. Not the Bill Clintons. The revolutionaries, the William Ayers. They are tired of waiting. As the AFL CIO or was it SEIU said, "We paid for it. We want results." They want their money and they want their utopia. Move aside, grandma. It's my turn.
So they have to soothe the uber left, and here is the soothing voice of Barney Frank.
FRANK: Reach out to your fellow young people and make it clear to them that while they may not be satisfied with everything we've done — we're not satisfied with everything we've done. The way to cure that is to give us more authority and more ability.
PAT: (Laughing). You are right about the soothing part, too. It's great.
GLENN: To give more authority. We're talking about Constitution! Give them more authority! That's what this is all about. Who has the authority? Who's going to force people to do it? You give us more authority; I'll do it. I'll get it done. That's pretty intense stuff, and anybody who doesn't see it is a fool or an accomplice.
